Initial evaluation

60 min One-on-One Evaluation

This is your first appointment at Island Movement with Dr Mariesa Barbara PT, DPT. A comprehensive review of your history will be performed, as well as, review of your goals for physical therapy treatment.

A thorough musculoskeletal functional evaluation will include: range of motion, muscle testing, and special tests.

Treatment will be performed, and we will review therapeutic exercises.

You will leave with a better understanding of your body & feel supported in your healing.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a technique physical therapists use for the treatment of pain and movement impairments. The technique uses a "dry" needle, one without medication or injection, inserted through the skin into areas of the muscle. To book this session, you have already had your initial evaluation with Mariesa and this is a follow-up 45-minute treatment session and review of therapeutic exercise.
