Want to learn more about the origins of yoga?! Where did Vinyasa style flow yoga come from?
Take this opportunity to learn about the Ashtanga yoga practice and the 8 Limbs of Yoga from master teacher, Nathalie Croix. Nathalie has spent significant time in India with four trips to Mysore. While there, she trained at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute where she studied under the guidance of Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Jois. She later lived and taught for many years in Los Angeles, where she learned and apprenticed from Maty Ezraty, the founder of Yogaworks. Nathalie taught Mysore style ashtanga yoga at Yogaworks.
Nathalie looks for each student's natural potential and celebrates diversity.
Students will learn up to Half Primary Series in a led class format.
This workshop will include a short meditation and long savasana.
About The Workshop
In this workshop Nathalie will share much of the teachings she learned from her teacher Pattabhi Jois during the time they spent together in India, including many stories, as well as modifications available in each posture of the ashtanga series.

These eight steps, commonly known as the 8 limbs of yoga, basically act as guidelines on how to live a meaningful and purposeful life.

A Practical Approach
Practice : Chakra Flow
This workshop will address each chakra through movement, breath and some journaling prompts.
I will teach you how to identify chakra imbalances and how to balance your whole system.
All Levels Welcome! About The Workshop :
Nathalie will teach a Vinyasa Yoga all levels class in which she will bring students through the chakras system for deeper awareness and clarity of body, mind and spirit.
Nathalie will incorporate movements, specific yoga postures related to each chakra, breath, sounds and visualization as we move deeper into the many layers of ourselves.
In this workshop we will unblock and let go of all which no longer serves us, through breath, movement (asana) practice, and focused healing techniques...
Afternoon Session : Together we will break down each of the seven main chakras and review the energetics of each chakra for a deeper understanding on how we can work with the chakras to uplevel our life.
We will look at how each chakra affects our daily lives on a subtle level and how we can make better decisions to support balancing our chakras and therefore live our most authentic life.
Nathalie will provide healing tools and techniques so that workshop participants may implement these tools to support their journey towards optimal health and to live a well regulated balanced life.

Inversions workshop with Nathalie Croix

During this workshop we will practice classical inversions, both active, such as handstands and headstands, as well as "passive" such as shoulderstand and viparita karani (waterfall pose).
This workshop is for experienced yoga practitioners, with a minimum six months of consistent physical yoga practice. This is a level 2/3 yoga workshop for intermediate / advanced yoga students.
