Active acne cysts or pustular acne
Cold sores (Herpes simplex) on the face
Skin infections (bacterial, viral, or fungal)

Sun exposure and tanning beds
Waxing, electrolysis, depilatory creams, or laser hair removal on the treatment area
Any exfoliating products (scrubs, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, hydroquinone, retinoids, or prescription topical medications)
Shaving the area to be treated
Additional recommendations:
Keep your skin well-hydrated and moisturized
Arrive with a clean, makeup-free face
Inform your esthetician of any medications, recent treatments, or skin conditions (like isotretinoin use, acne medications, or sensitive skin)
Avoid other aggressive facial treatments within 1–2 weeks before your peel

Itching, tightness, or slight discomfort as skin heals.
Temporary darkening of hyperpigmentation, age spots, or acne scars may occur before fading.
Dryness or rough patches may appear during peeling.
Breakouts or purging can occasionally occur as underlying congestion is released.
Mild tenderness or sensitivity to touch and products.

Mild redness, stinging, or swelling is normal

Skincare & Hygiene:
Avoid touching, picking, or scratching your skin
Keep skin clean with a gentle, non-exfoliating cleanser
Apply a gentle, hydrating moisturizer regularly
Avoid makeup for at least 24 hours (or as directed by your esthetician)
Sun & Heat Protection:
Avoid direct sun exposure; skin will be more sensitive; avoid the beach until healed.
Use broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily once cleared to go outside
Skip saunas, hot showers, steam, or intense workouts for 48 hours
Products & Treatments to Avoid:
No retinol, acids, exfoliants, or harsh skincare until your esthetician says it’s safe
Avoid other professional treatments (microdermabrasion, laser, or waxing) for at least one week
General Care & Expectations:
Expect some redness, flaking, or light peeling for several days
Skin may feel tight or dry; hydration is key
Full results may take 1–2 weeks to fully appear, depending on peel strength
Continue gentle skincare and sun protection to maintain results
Monitor your skin: If you notice severe redness, swelling, blistering, or signs of infection, contact your esthetician or healthcare provider immediately.
